In November 2012, I was fortunate to be able to join my Dad and Mom (Gerald & Loretta) on a trip out east to visit family and friends. We visited Auntie Grace a number of times and were able to join Deborah and Gaetan in celebrating her 89th birthday. What a bright time, Auntie Grace you have such a beautiful smile and sense of humor. I really enjoyed seeing Dad and his sister joking like they were kids. The sparkle in Dad and Grace's eyes while they sat together and visited showed the true connection only siblings have. I cherish that moment! Auntie Grace you truly were a lovely bright lady!

In October 2007 I was attending a conference in Ottawa and had a free day so I went down and spent an afternoon with Auntie Grace. As luck would have it, The Palace was holding their monthly Birthday party. We enjoyed live music, cake and dancing. Grace truly lived up to her name as a very Graceful dancer! :) My first child, Eva was born only a few months earlier in August. Auntie Grace was very happy and excited to see some pictures. Auntie Grace gave Eva a huge, adorable stuffed bunny. It was quite big, but very cute. I took it on the plane back to Spruce Grove, Alberta and gave it my daughter who instantly loved it. Next time dad, Gerald was over I snapped a picture of him with the bunny and Eva. Although, we were only able to spend a few precious moments with Auntie Grace, as we lived so far away the time we did get created some very precious memories!

I have very fond memories of my Great Aunt Gracie. Going to Montreal and visiting her and family and sitting in the kitchen and playing gas station attendent. She would give me pens, the phone and the metal box with the gas station receipts to write and rip off for my "customers". I also remember the amount of butter containers she kept LOL. I had so much fun in Montreal spending time with her, my grandma Phyllis and cousin Deb. Driving to Montreal to see her again when I was a teenager in a 57 corvette with Steve. Deb and family you are in my thoughts and prayers. Sending much love to you all.xoxoxo GOD LOVE YA!!!

Auntie Grace as you may know, Gavin aged 9 (your great nephew) lit a candle for you today at church in Spruce Grove, Alberta (totally on his own accord). Our deepest and sincere condolences go out to my cousins Deborah and Stephen and their families. Auntie Grace you will continue to be in our hearts and prayers. I know that Dad and Mom always enjoyed their visits with you and your family in Ontario (the most recent in November 2012). May God bless you, Grant, Karen, Jacob, Talia and Gavin Barron.

May your legacy live on through your children and grandchildren. It is with great sadness that we say farewell to Gracie but it brings peace to many that they will be reunited with you at a later date. Your home in Montreal was a welcoming haven to all and we can still see your wonderful smile and hear your hearty laugh, not to mention your wicked sense of humour. love, Lynda, Barry, Jordanna and Justin

Grace, you wore your given name well. You were always full of love, warmth, understanding, and good conversation! You may have lived through the depression era but you succeeded in keeping your spirit positive. You were the quiet and strong Matriarch of the Stewart family. Your children are your blessings. Those that knew you are blessed. Much love and eternal rest, Sibylle, Elie & Charles
