I was so sorry to see the obituary notice that alerted me to the news that Natalie Byrne was no longer with us.
I met Natalie and her husband, Peter, shortly after I moved across the street from them in 2012. I moved away in December 2020, after Covid had begun to interfere with neighbourly conversation. I was always sorry for that intrusion on my contact with two people I enjoyed conversing with.
Now and then, when we would have the opportunity to have a conversation, Natalie would sometimes update me on some of the things she was doing, in connection with family. I observed that Natalie and Peter's children cared for their parents very much and were faithful to come from a distance to see that their needs were met.
I want to extend my sympathy to each one of her children at the loss of their dear, precious mother. I also want to extend my sympathy to Peter, who has lost a wonderful friend and partner. My thoughts are with you all, at this time.
