Obituary of Aurèle Lajoie

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the age of 83. Beloved husband and best friend of Réjeanne Lajoie (née Campeau). Loving father of Roch (Marilyn), Robert (Hélène) and Jacques (Laurie). Proud grandfather of Chancey (Shana), Cameron (Brigitte), Marie-France, Pascale, Gabrielle, Justin (Rand), Simon and Marie-Eve; and great grandfather of Calla, Elliott, Atley, Loic, Riley and Keegan. Dear brother of Hubert (Shirley). Predeceased by his parents Donaï and Aldéa (née Poirier) Lajoie; his sisters Lucette Campeau (late Fernand), Elaine Lalonde (late Claude Jr.) and Madeleine; and his brothers Rolland (late Marie-Ange), Conrad (Veronica), Roger (late Lucille), Irené (Béatrice and the late Claire), and Jean-Marc (Micheline). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are requested to gather at the Salon Funéraire Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm and on Friday, July 3, 2015 from 9 – 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Paroisse Sacré-Coeur on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11 am. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Memorial donations made to the Auxiliare Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family.
