Gordon Ross Rice

1932-2022

With great sadness we announce Gord passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 20,2022 at the Lancaster Long Term Care leaving his beloved wife & best friend Elizabeth (McKinnon), daughter Rosalie Cormier (Dan), son James Rice (Julie) and grandson Ross Cormier.

Other family members mourning his loss are his sister Violet Casselman (Sam) and sister-in-law Ruth Rice.  Predeceased by his brothers John and Edwin (Shirley) of Morrisburg.

Also mourning his loss are Linda Overcash (Wayne), Keith MacKinnon (Barbara), Ann MacMillan (Jim) and many nieces and nephews in Canada and United States.

Predeceased by Marion MacGillivray (Allister), John McKinnon, Donald McKinnon (Moreen) and Ruthanna.

Son of the late Edwin Ross Rice and the late Rosa Elizabeth Jones.

Families and friends are asked to gather at Alexandria United Church (Church on the Hill), 36 Kincardine Street East, Alexandria, ON K0C 1A0 on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM followed by a reception in the church hall.  Interment, Alexandria United Church Cemetery.

Donations to the Alexandria United Church (Church on the Hill); Ontario SPCA Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Animal Centre; or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
