Suddenly, at Cornwall Community Hospital on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the age of 72. Husband of the late Lucienne Stang (née Ménard). Father of Linda Stang-Sabourin (Marc Sabourin) and Paul Stang (Brigitte Séguin).  Grandfather of Alicia Stang.  Brother of Aurel Stang, Thérèse Ouimet, Marie-Paule McCormick, the late Leonel Stang and the late Marie-Claire Stang.  Son of the late Moïse Stang and the late Laurette Sauvé.  Fern will be fondly remembered by his nephew Ted Stang, his niece Meagan McCormick, and by his friends and neighbours at Royal Manor, Cornwall. Relatives and friends are requested to gather at the Salon Funéraire Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 9 – 11 am. A Liturgy of The Word will be celebrated at the Chapel on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11:00 am. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
