One year since your passing, and I find myself sometimes lost without you. I am a small voice in a chorus of many who have suffered loss. Isn't it funny how we always expect others to know and love the ones most precious to us, as we do? We all say how special our late loved one is, but fail to understand how we can never accept that others will not comprehend our loss- nor feel as we do.
Oh my wonderful father. You were, are, and ever more will be, a blessing to me. You are everywhere: in my garden as I strive to grow, in my struggles as I yearn to learn, in history as I remain firm in keeping WWII part of our history, in my memories as I sway alongside you to Big Band music.
You never thought, in all your life, that you would impact anyone or make a difference. In fact, as a soldier of WWII you did everything to try to hide the fact, that you were/are a hero. Humility was your cloak. Now, as you are mine, I carry your stories, your hopes, your aspirations.
Although I will never measure to your standards, I believe I will surpass. And this is not because I am greater. I believe this is because I am your daughter, and you poured into me so that I could do so....
I love you to the moon, round about the stars, and back. In Heaven, I will see you daddy.

Our sincere condolences to Earl and Karen (and their families) on the loss of their father and grandfather. We grew to know and care for Vince as he was a kind and gentle soul. He will be especially missed by Daphne because of her enduring friendship of many years with Vince and his wife Pat.

Our deepest sympathies on the passing of Vince. He was a remarkable person and always nice to talk to. Even at his advanced age his mind was razor sharp. Always calm and rock solid. He was a fine man and a great Dad and Grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.
